Teacher Training Programme Summer 2018 - 2019
This 200 hour programme is in Vancouver taking place over a series of 5 weekends Summer 2018 and 5 weekends in Summer 2019. La formation sera en anglais mais la traduction est possible pour les francophones aussi.
This programme is recognized by Yoga Alliance. The following are brief descriptions of how the hours are to be divided. For more details descriptions, check out the Yoga Alliance website.
Techniques, Training and Practice (100 hours) – Includes asana, pranayama, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. Hours may include (1) analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques, and (2) guided practice of the techniques themselves.
Teaching Methodology (25 hours) – Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student's process of learning and business aspects of teaching yoga.
Anatomy and Physiology (20 hours) – Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). This includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).
Yoga Philosophy and Ethics for Yoga Teachers (30 hours) – Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.
Practicum (10 hours) – Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
Friday's: 5:30 - 9:30 pm
Saturday's: 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday's: 9 am - 5 pm

Pre-registration fee: $3100.00 plus GST paid in full by May 30th
Registration fee: $3300.00 plus GST, paid in full from June 1st
Payment Plan 1: 6 payments of $595 plus GST
Payment Plan 2: 4 payments of $860 plus GST
Reserve your place with non-refundable $300 deposit. You pay only GST.
- Attendance in full is mandatory. The student is responsible for covering missed hours.
- Punctual submissions of assignments
- Integrating a home yoga and meditation practice
- Complete any and all exams, either written or oral
